How do you get things done? How do you gain control over your life?
Get started. Think of the obstacle that is stopping you from starting on something and then work to get over it.
I like to write down all the things that I need to do free form. Then I organize it into categories. Then I prioritize. Organizing it this way helps me to have a measure of control over the things I need to get done.
Getting a smartphone or other technology to help accomplish this is a good idea.
It’s important also to find the inspiration for doing things. If you don’t have that, it’s a lot harder to get things done.
If you don’t really have an inspiration for doing something, you might ask yourself if it’s really that important to you to do it. If it’s not, then you might want to take it off your list of things to do.
I think it also helps to let go of the notion that there is some perfect order or way in which you’re gonna get your things done. Just getting started is a way of letting go of that notion and actually start getting things accomplished in your life.
